I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. -Psalm 119:11
Scripture: Isaiah 55:9-11
9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. 10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. 11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.Let’s focus on verse 11; in this particular scripture God is telling us that just as rain and snow saturate the earth and causes grain to grow, which in turn produces food for the hungry, God’s word works the same way. When God’s word is planted into our lives, it will always produce fruit, which means that God’s word never fail --- its meant to grow, produce, and start new life. There’s another really awesome part to verse 11; watch how God says, “It will accomplish all I want it to and it will prosper everywhere I send it. So check it out, whatever God has spoken to you, whatever door he has opened for you - it WILL ACCOMPLISH everything God wants it to. So while you are on the job or in school, in the church, in your community God’s word will always will prosper at any point/place in your life. How many of us are searching for direction, discerning what our next move is going to be? or wondering “God am I making the right decision? Today we can be rest assured that the word of God’s word will always produce fruit and will accomplish what God intends it to. As we begin the second half of this year, let us challenge open our minds to watch God plant his Word in our hearts so we can see it grow and produce fruit. -Ashley Schuler (WITHIN member)
