Food for the Soul Monday: Honoring God With Our Life

In life we have choices. In fact, we make hundreds of choices every day. Some as big as the next move for our lives and others as small as whether or not you want the window down as you drive.
We can’t get away from choices and nor can we get away from the consequences of our choices.
When we made one of the most important decisions to follow Christ with our lives, here is what we really are choosing: to HONOR God with our lives.
Whether we want to accept it or not, the way we live our lives is putting the name of God on the line. People are watching and observing and seeing if our lifestyle is really reflective of WHO God is. 
Are we representing His character well?
A life that honors God is a life that receives His forgiveness and is willing to give it to others
A life that honors God acknowledges his hand in every area of their life to show others that their life is not their own.
A life that honors God, loves people.
A life that honors God is a life that says THANK YOU JESUS for all you’ve done for me.
This life isn’t lived by our own strength, but His word tells us that HIS GRACE is behind all of this! Are you wearing His grace well?
‘If your life honors the name of Jesus, he will honor you. Grace is behind and through all of this, our God giving himself freely, the Master, Jesus Christ, giving himself freely.” (2 Thessalonians 1:12 MSG)
