Friday Prayer

​



Father God,
 
In the midst of the chaos that rules our world,
 may we never lose sight of Your beauty.
 May our eyes not become tainted by sight
But may they be renewed by our faith.
 May we never lose our wonder.
 Stir our fascination of You as we become still in Your presence.
 Remind our beating heart of the miracles of Your creation.
 I pray for fire to burn within our hearts
When we think of the wonder of Your Holy Love.
 The great lengths you went to save our decaying souls
And only through this distance have we found mending.
 I pray we guard our hearts against the evil one who calls us to be “mere men.”
I pray we rise and become Christlike through the Holy Spirit.
 Keep our eyes gazed on You.
Despite what the world says,
we have a Majestic God that sees us and knows us and knows all.
 We need not fear. We need not succumb. We need not hide.
We need only to be found abiding in You.
 May we never lose our Wonder.
